Harben Green hit the road to network, learn & share sector knowledge at no fewer than 5 key events in the healthcare sector calendar.
Monday: 5.30am Howard's week begins in London for Bevan Brittan LLP Social Care Seminar.
"An incredibly insightful morning discussing key topics from the (upcoming?) Green Paper, changes to CQC regulations & the CMA's care home market study. It was unanimously agreed that recruitment & employment, alongside funding, remain one of the key challenges we are facing in our industry".
Wednesday: 7am Edinburgh bound Howard attends the Health Investor Scottish Care Conference.
"Listening to industry leaders across Scotland discuss the state of Social Care market, it's clear how a lack of funding leads to many care operators unable to offer market-rate salaries and in turn, lower quality appointments are made causing an increase in turnover. The challenge is to break this cycle and at Harben Green we want to support the sector operators to acquire, develop and retain future leaders".
Wednesday: 3.30pm Aaron & Tom head up to Manchester for The Care Society launch event.
"Thanks to Mala (Athena Care Homes), Angela (Majesticare), Bhavna (BKR Care Consultancy) and Caroline (Welltower) for bringing the sector together for a night of networking with industry experts and fellow sector professionals at this hugely beneficial new group! Tom and I had an excellent evening!"
Friday 5.30am Howard's back down to London for Freeths LLP Business Breakfast.
"A hugely beneficial breakfast meeting listening to Jeremy Huband, Head of Healthcare at HSBC and other key sector professionals discuss the current care market over some rather good bacon and eggs! Thanks to James Clamp at Freeths for the invite!"
Saturday, following 9am football training with his little boy, Howard was back down to London for the Care Sector Fundraising Ball.
"What an honour to be invited by Mala Agarwal to join her table at the inaugural Care Sector Fundraising Ball, hosted by Avnish Goyal in association with Hallmark Care Homes and Care England. With the aim to raise £100,000 for the Care Workers Charity, I was incredibly proud to represent Harben Green supporting raise in excess of £140,000 for this incredible charity!! Such was the success of the evening, I am certain this will fast become one of the most important and highly anticipated events in the sector calendar!"
