Working alongside a charity care provider, we are sourcing a General Manager to run a recently-refurbished, 60+ bedded residential home in Cheltenham. 


Providing individually-tailored professional care, my Client is dedicated to fulfilling both the physical & spiritual needs of their residents. They are compelled to recruit & support a highly compassionate team.


A real opportunity for a sensitive & dedicated Manager to guide a loyal team & turn around this mid-sized care home to its previously enjoyed "Good" CQC. The ideal candidate will be a commercially adept individual, talented in both high-quality care & driving occupancy.

  • Responsible for the day to day running of the home.
  • Ensure process & compliance is well established, progressing the home to achieve a "Good" CQC report upon the next inspection.
  • Ensure successful promotion within the community, building a strong local network to raise occupancy & staffing levels. 
  • Achieve business efficiency through care plan auditing, budget & cost control initiatives.
  • Recruit an effective & dedicated team, providing them with strong leadership & training to deliver high-quality care.

Key skills & knowledge:
  • RMA Level 5 or equivalent 
  • Management experience within a “good” care home, including the successful completion of a turnaround project. 
  • In-depth knowledge of current CQC regulations & requirements, skilled in achieving continuous compliance.
  • A compassionate & influential leader with strong interpersonal skills, experienced in recruiting & developing an effective & loyal team.
  • Sound commercial skillset, adept in managing a profitable home combined with proven experience driving occupancy levels.
