We are assisting an independent, luxury care provider to recruit a General Manager for a large, purpose-built, nursing care home in Cumbria.


Client:

My Client is an expanding & progressive care provider with a national portfolio of modern, nursing & residential care homes. They are proud of their culture which promotes professional care & values whilst supporting an active & independent lifestyle to suit the individual requirements of their residents.


Role:

A unique opportunity to manage this large, luxury nursing home located in Kendal, a vibrant market town in the beautiful Lake District. The successful candidate will be a strong Manager with the passion & drive to take this stunning home from its current rated "Requires Improvement" to the rating is truly deserves. 


Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the day to day operations of the home.
  • Build & develop your team through effective leadership ensuring the highest quality of professional care is delivered.
  • Budget & cost management to deliver a profitable home.
  • Effective marketing of the home within the local community to maximise occupancy.
  • Ensure the home moves forward to both meet & exceed current CQC requirements & achieve a "Good" rating overall.
  • Forge and manage strong relationships with residents & their families, the local community & regulatory bodies.

Key skills & knowledge:
  • 2+ years Home Manager experience.
  • Level 4 or above management qualification in Health & Social Care. 
  • Proven experience managing "Good" rated homes or turning around failing homes.
  • Sound commercial awareness experienced in running a financially viable home.  
  • An inspirational Manager who can lead from the front to develop & mentor large teams to consistently achieve excellence.
  • An in-depth knowledge & understanding of current CQC regulations & requirements.

Package:
  • Circa £65,000 - £75,000 Basic salary.
