Harben Green are working with a family-run, independent care provider to recruit a Home Manager for a lovely, modern residential & nursing home in Wanstead.


Award-winning within the older people care sector, my Client is known for the high-quality care & support provided within their safe & comfortable homes.  They are proud of their devoted, long-standing teams & the passion with which care & friendship is delivered to residents and their families. 


A unique opportunity to manage this mid-sized, well-equipped, nursing care home (approx 50 beds) situated close to Epping Forest in Wanstead.  Already a strong manager, you will be given full autonomy to develop your team to achieve a "Good" rating across all areas upon their next inspection.

  • Responsible for the daily operations of the home.
  • Ensure process & compliance is well established to progress the home to a "Good" CQC report upon the next inspection.
  • Provide strong & inspirational leadership supporting your team to deliver the highest quality of person-centred care.
  • Forge & manage compassionate relationships with residents & their families, the local community and regulatory bodies. 
  • Achieve business profitability through effective budget & cost management.
  • Effective marketing of the home within the local community to retain the homes high occupancy levels.

Key skills & knowledge:
  • Demonstrable experience managing nursing care homes. 
  • RMN/RGN with an active Nursing Pin.
  • Proven ability in managing "Good" rated homes and/or turning around failing homes.  
  • Comprehensive knowledge & understanding of current & evolving CQC regulations & requirements.
  • Strong people management skills, someone who can provide great leadership to develop and inspire their team to consistently achieve excellence. 
  • Sound financial acumen - effective in budgeting & cost control.
  • Skilled in marketing with a track record in increasing occupancy.
