Harben Green is working alongside a growing care home provider to recruit a Home Manager for their large country house nursing home in the Sevenoaks area of Kent


Client:

My client is a recently formed progressive care group with 12 nursing homes across the UK. Their key focus is delivering exceptional person centred care, with the majority of their homes rated GOOD. The group are forecasting significant expansion, both through acquisition and building their own homes.


Role:

A unique opportunity to manage this luxury nursing home set in beautiful grounds in the Kent countryside. The successful candidate will be a strong Manager who will be given full autonomy and unparalleled support to take this stunning home from its current rated "Requires Improvement" to the rating is truly deserves. 


Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the general management of all aspects of the home.
  • Manage and develop strong relationships with suppliers and regulatory & governing bodies. 
  • Budget & audit management - responsible for delivering and running a profitable home. 
  • Effective marketing of the home within the local community to increase occupancy.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and inspire your team to create a caring, family environment ensuring the highest standards of person centred, resident and nursing care are delivered.
  • Recruiting and establishing a strong team with particular focus on staff development and retention.
  • Ensuring the level of care both meets and exceeds CQC requirements.

Key skills & knowledge:
  • 5+ years management experience within the care sector
  • A nursing qualification or experience managing nursing homes.
  • An in depth knowledge & understanding of CQC regulations & requirements.
  • A proven track record managing turnaround homes.
  • Demonstrable skills in managing large teams, someone who can lead from the front to develop others to consistently achieve excellence.
  • Experience managing an older nursing home would be advantageous.
  • Strong financial and business acumen

Package:
  • £85,000 Basic salary
