Harben Green is working alongside one of the UK's leading, not-for-profit, care operators to recruit a Home Manager for this new, purpose built nursing and dementia care home in South Gloucestershire.


My client is recognised as one of the largest charity care providers with an ever expanding nationwide portfolio of nursing and residential care homes. True to their values they provide clear progression and training for their employees to achieve their maximum potential. 


A great opportunity to manage this state of the art, specialist dementia care centre in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire. The successful candidate will be a strong Manager who will be given the autonomy and support to lead their team to deliver the highest quality of care and achieve a positive CQC rating upon the first inspection. 

  • Responsible for the day to day management of the home.
  • Budget management - responsible for delivering and running a profitable home. 
  • Effective marketing of the home within the local community to increase occupancy.
  • Ability to lead, develop and motivate your team to create a caring, family environment ensuring the highest standards of care are achieved.
  • Recruiting and building a strong team with particular focus on staff development and retention.
  • Manage and develop strong relationships with regulatory & governing bodies. 
  • Ensuring the level of care both meets and exceeds current CQC requirements.

Key skills & knowledge:
  • 2+ years management experience within the care sector
  • Knowledge and experience in dementia care is essential.  
  • An in depth knowledge & understanding of current CQC regulations & requirements.
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Demonstrable experience in building and managing teams, someone who can lead from the front to develop and inspire others to consistently achieve excellence.
