We are assisting a well respected, established Care home operator to recruit an experienced General Manager for their residential care home in Romford. 


My Client has a well-established portfolio of 15 residential & nursing care homes across the South East of the UK. Passionate and true to their values they are committed to providing unique care for each of their residents to the highest standards. 


A great opportunity to manage this modern, purpose-built nursing home set in beautifully maintained gardens in a quiet residential area of Romford.  The successful candidate will be a strong home manager who can lead & develop their team to drive standards forward and deliver the highest quality of care in line with the company values. 

  • Responsible for managing the daily running of the home.
  • Provide exceptional levels of resident and nursing care, whilst developing a strong, passionate team, motivated to achieve their targets.  
  • Manage and develop strong relationships with residents, the local community, internal teams and regulatory bodies. 
  • Ensure the home continues to move forward to improve & exceed current CQC requirements & achieve a "Good" rating overall upon the next inspection.
  • Budget control and overall financial management of the home.

Key skills & knowledge:
  • 5+ years Home management experience.
  • Valid NMC pin is preferred or a NVQ Level 5.  
  • An in-depth knowledge & understanding of current CQC regulations & requirements.
  • Proven ability in managing "Good" rated homes or turning around failing homes.
  • Strong people management skills, someone who can provide strong leadership and effective management to inspire their team to consistently achieve excellence.
