We are working with a leading, nationwide care provider to source a Home Manager for their purpose built, nursing home near Musselburgh on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

This is a great opportunity to manage a delightful mid-sized, nursing home located near Musselburgh, within easy reach of Edinburgh.  The successful candidate will be a strong Manager committed to leading their team to continue to improve the standards of care & with a determination to achieve a higher grading upon their next inspection. 

  • Manage the day to day running of the home.
  • Provide effective leadership, developing your team to create a caring, family environment ensuring the highest quality of person-centred care is delivered.
  • Forge strong relationships with residents and their families, the local community and regulatory bodies. 
  • Budget & audit management - responsible for the financial running of the home.
  • Ensure the home continues to improve standards to achieve a higher grading & goes on to exceed Care Inspectorate requirements.

Key skills and knowledge:
  • Registered Nurse with an active NMC pin. 
  • Registered Managers Award - Level 4 or equivalent care management qualification.
  • 2+ years proven management experience within the care sector.
  • Demonstrable people management skills, someone who can build, inspire and lead multi-disciplinary teams to consistently achieve excellence. 
  • Sound financial & business acumen
  • A proven ability in ensuring compliance with company & Care Inspectorate policies, practices & processes is both adhered to and consistently achieved.

  • Basic salary circa £50,000
