We are working with an established, regional care provider to recruit a Home Manager for a purpose-built, nursing & residential home in Thornaby-on-Tees.


My Client is a well-respected care operator committed to creating the best care environment for all residents, whilst training & developing their teams to deliver a truly person-centred approach to care.


The opportunity to manage an attractive purpose built, nursing & residential home in Thornaby, located near the River Tees. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic & driven Manager who will develop a passionate team to maintain & exceed the current 'Good' rating this home enjoys. 

  • Responsible for the day to day operations of the home.
  • Forge & manage strong relationships with residents & their families, the local community and regulatory bodies. 
  • Drive the home to constantly move forward, exceeding the 'Good' CQC through continual progression.
  • Build & mentor a passionate team; training staff to provide the highest quality of person-centred & complex care.
  • Create individual care plans to comply with company policies & respecting the needs of the residents.
  • Use your skills in marketing to promote the home; raising awareness in the local community.

Key skills & knowledge:
  • RGN/RMN active PIN
  • 2+ years experience within the care sector & nursing homes.
  • Adept in managing "Good" rated homes to maintain the CQC rating.  
  • Sound knowledge of current and evolving CQC regulations.
  • A dynamic, self-starter who will work closely with a team, leading & communicating effectively to achieve excellence.
  • Sound commercial awareness, experienced in running a financially viable home.
