Harben Green is currently assisting our client, an entrepreneurial investment manager based in the City of London, with the recruitment of an Investment Director - Healthcare.


Our client has been raising money for, and investing in, UK businesses for over 30 years. With around 120 employees, they now have £1billion in funds under management.
As part of the expansion of a dedicated healthcare focussed team, they are now seeking to recruit an exceptional Investment Director.


The Investment Director will focus on operational real estate investment opportunities (equity & debt) within the UK healthcare sector, including social care, primary care, retirement and supported living. Typical investments are between £5 million - £25 million per funding round. 

Key skills & knowledge:

The successful candidate will have a combination of technical skills and commercial acumen as well as enthusiasm to learn and develop by working within a team.

  • Prior experience in an investment firm (ideal), corporate finance advisory or consultancy with a focus on the UK healthcare market.
  • A university graduate with a strong academic background, preferably with a professional qualification e.g.. ACA, CFA, MBA or equivalent.
  • Evidence of existing contacts and relationships across the Healthcare market.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent knowledge and experience of the investment process and multi-lateral negotiations.
  • A strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills and high levels of emotional intelligence.
  • Able to work under pressure and towards deadlines with a self-starting attitude.
  • Able to demonstrate robust analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Proficient at multi-tasking across a variety of projects.
  • Collegiate and proactive personality.
  • Clear and concise communication skills (written and verbal).
